Palma Guide: sporty Palma

Have you noticed how over the past few years being fit, taking care of yourself and working out has become ‘in’? Well, at Nakar we love it when positive trends come in to stay and working out and keeping your body and mind in balance is, definitely, more than a trend: it’s a lifestyle worth living.

Living in a city as Palma, which is actually right by the sea, it is true that we have a spectacular natural scenario to put on the leggings and sneakers and going for a run or cycling just along the main promenade called ‘Paseo Marítimo’. But at Nakar Hotel we are very fond of trying different things and as we know you’re staying at Nakar soon we would like to share our knowledge about fun things you can try to practice sport near our hotel located in the city centre.

Practice sports in Palma’s center

  1. Corpore PilatesDid you know that Pilates is one of the most complete work outs there is? At Corpore Pilates they give great importance to quality and not quantity, which is why they will be very keen in teaching and making you improve every one of the exercises to activate the whole body. At Corpore Pilates you will be able to do matt Pilates, studio Pilates, allegro Pilates, pump Pilates, trx Pilates, power plate Pilates and barre Pilates at their first-class studio located 5 minutes away from Nakar Hotel.

Nakar tip: they also have Pilates for pregnant women!

  2. Zunray yoga

Zunray Yoga is an international yoga studio with great teachers in one of the most charming locations in Palma’s old town. One of the cool things about Zunray is that they offer yoga classes in Spanish and English, as they are aware of the cosmopolitan vibes this city offers.

In additional to yoga for beginners, they also have bowspring yoga, pregnancy yoga classes, Kundalini yoga, yoga for children, private yoga classes and a 30-day yoga challenge worth checking out.

Nakar tip: Zunray yoga also offers yoga by the beach during the warm months at one of our favourite beach clubs, Balneario Illetas.

  3. Women Personal TrainersKeeping motivated and feeling supported is one of the most important things when changing your lifestyle and starting a healthy journey.

If you are initiating in the fit-lifestyle or you feel in need of a personalized exercise and diet plan, what you are looking for is ‘Women Personal Trainers’. This initiative led by personal trainer María Rossich, offers you tailor-made personal training schedules for you or a group of girls looking to work out in Palma.

Nakar tip: recently she started a 12 week-challenge at Rafa Nadal’s Sport Centre which is amazing!
