Ready to discover the ‘summer musts’ by Nakar Hotel? Here we go!
There are plenty of things to do when planning a summer holiday in Mallorca. Staying in Palma is what we always recommend, as this city will never cease to amaze you and it will be the perfect starting point to explore the island. Today we’ve made a selection of things that we like to call the ‘summer musts’.
Summer in Mallorca – Sunset at Na Foradada and party in Sa Fonda, Deià
There’s no such thing as a Mediterranean summer without a sunset overlooking the sea. If you agree, this is the spot you need to know about: Na Foradada is a distinctive and emblematic rock formation that juts out of the Northwest coastline, being one of the most famous, but also the most stunning viewpoints on the island. It is known to give you the most beautiful sunset on the island.
There’s a bar to have a cold beer while falling in love with the Majorcan sundowner right there. Our recommendation is after sunset you head over to the close-by village of Deià, specifically ‘Sa Fonda’, a fun restaurant, serving ‘pa amb oli’ and other local food and known for throwing great parties in the summer. Live music and fun times, here we go!
Bucket list must – day at the beach
Mallorca is home to over 260 beaches and coves that are the living picture of Mediterranean nature: white sand, rocky cliffs, crystal clear waters… you’re definitely up for some inspiring beauty when on the island! Of course we needed to add a day at the beach as one of our summer musts, right? There’s a long list for you to choose from, but some of our favorite beaches and coves are: Sa Rapita, Cala Llombards and Es Caragol. All of them are located in Mallorca’s Southeast and guarantee to be the Mediterranean dream come true.
Shopping tour in Palma and ice cream after
No way you can leave Palma without going on a shopping spree. Perfectly combining international luxury brands, local shops and fun, buzzing fashion, Palma holds something for every taste and budget. You’ll find some of our favorite shops right here, on our shopping guide. And you can also have a look at the best shops right on our street by clicking here.
Trip on board of a Majorcan ‘llaüt’
Are you looking for an authentic Majorcan experience? The llaüt is the typical Mallorcan boat: a little wooden boat that has been used by fishermen and locals for decades and is now one of those things that reminds us of our traditions and roots.
Sailing on a llaüt is without a doubt a unique experience, and an amazing way of getting to know the true Mallorca. You can rent a llaüt for the day and explore the island from the sea, which is an absolute gift to your senses.
Spend the day at a beach club
Last, but not least, you cannot wrap up a summer holiday without spending the day at a beach club. There are many beach clubs you can go to when visiting Mallorca and all of them have different atmospheres and vibes, but we really love Grand Folies close to the Port of Andratx.
It is located in a little, secluded cove and you will be able to go from the pool to the sea, while soaking up the sun and getting served at your sunbed or Bali bed. Book a table for lunch and enjoy their first-class local cuisine!
