Winter in Mallorca – what to do!
Sadly, we recently said goodbye to another great Summer season on this beautiful Mediterranean island called Mallorca. Even though we’re madly in love with the Summer, we also love the Majorcan Autumn and Winter. And now that Winter is heading our way really fast, we’d like to share some ideas of what you can do when visiting Mallorca during the colder months.
Palma Guide: Winter in Mallorca – what to do
If you’re into sport and nature, hiking is your thing! In case you didn’t know, Mallorca has a breath-taking landscape to completely fall in love with when visiting. The Tramuntana mountain range, the never-ending White sand beaches, the charming towns and villages… it’s idyllic! And if you’re up to a nice hike, we can recommend you a couple. There’s the hike from Son Marroig to Sa Foradada, the hike up to Alaró’s castle in the North, the hikes available within the Mondragó Natural Park or the hiking route from Esporles to Banyalbufar, for example.
If you’re ready to discover some amazing towns and villages, you can go visit Sóller and Port de Sóller by train, an amazing experience everyone will love!, but if you’re not into trains you can always go and make the most of your visit to the West and discover Valldemosa, Deià, Sóller and Port de Sóller all together.
And if you like bikes, we’re all for hopping on two wheels and get to know Palma by bike or even take your bike and go all the way to Portixol, an old fishermen neighbourhood that now is a trendy place to be & enjoy a café by the sea.
When staying in Palma during the Winter, there are tons of things to do! Do you know the city centre? It’s the Nakar neighbourhood and there’s a lot to discover. And if you’re in Palma, you can not miss the opportunity to check out the city’s exciting museums and take a look at the most emblematic buildings and shops in Palma’s old town.
Last, but not least, take an afternoon to go shopping, but not before you’ve checked out some of the best restaurants in Palma. You’ve got a wide selection of Majorcan restaurants, Japanese restaurants , Mediterranean restaurants , Michelin star restaurants , Italian restaurants and more on our blog!
